On Friday 1st March, I hosted an Adjournment Debate on the progress of St Helier hospital and the delivery of a new state of the art hospital in Sutton. It is this Conservative Government that is delivering this vital project and prioritising our local healthcare.
On the 19th February, I hosted a Petitions debate on two very important issues. The first petition was about the ending of animal toxicity tests and the prioritisation of non-animal methods, or NAMS.
On Tuesday the 27th I asked Claire Coutinho MP, Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero what support the Government has in place for small and medium sized businesses with regards to energy bills.
This Conservative Government has worked to ensure that all working parents can receive 30 hours of childcare from when their child is 9 months old, right up until they start school. Under the last Labour Government, parents of 3 and 4 year olds received 12.5 hours of childcare per week.
Over the last few weeks, I have visited each Small Business winner from my annual Small Business competition. It was so great to go and have a chat with the different winners and present them with their certificate.
Some incredibly exciting news…. Network Rail have agreed to do the works at the southbound platform at Hackbridge Station in the 2025/2026 funding round!
