I was proud to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Carshalton and Wallington between 2019 and 2024.
I'm a life-long local resident, I was born at St Helier Hospital, I went to school at Carshalton Boys and I worked for our local NHS. I really get the issues that matter most to you and your family - because they're the issues that affect me and my family too.
I know how much we all value our NHS services locally. Every day when I'm out and about I hear how much people care about our NHS and I've seen first hand how much of a difference it makes to our lives. That's why I'm passionate about ensuring we deliver the very best health and care outcomes for Carshalton and Wallington residents and making sure that we protect our St Helier Hospital.
I've also been a local councillor, where I worked hard to hold the failing Lib Dem-run Council to account. It wasn't an easy job, and I spent most of my time tackling road safety, parking and bin collections. We deserve better. We did then, and we still do.
I'm a keen supporter of charitable causes locally, too, having served as a trustee of Community Action Sutton, and as a Scout Leader for the 6th Carshalton Scout Group.
I have been proud to be your strong, local voice in Parliament, standing up for the issues that matter most to you, such as delivering improvements at St Helier Hospital, holding the Council to account, delivering better public transport, more good school places and protecting our local environment.
