After the closure of our local Barclays branch on Woodcote Road, I wrote to NatWest, Nationwide, Santander, TSB and HSBC to ensure these bank branches had no plans to close. You can read more about that here.
Less than three months ago, NatWest assured me that they were committed to staying in the area and had no plans to close their Wallington Branch.
As a result, I am extremely frustrated to learn that they have decided to close their branch on Woodcote Road in September this year. Access to banking services is vital for our community – and I have particular concerns regarding the impact this with have on vulnerable customers.
I have requested an urgent meeting with NatWest to discuss this matter further.
