Following the recent closure of our local bank branch for Barclays in Woodcote Road, I recently wrote to TSB, Santander, NatWest, Nationwide, HSBC to ensure that our local branches for these banks, plan to stay open. I am extremely glad to say that all our local branches for these five banks are staying open with no plans to close.
As your local MP for Carshalton and Wallington, one of my six main plans is to keep our thriving economy bustling by supporting our local businesses and helping our high streets. This is significantly important to ensure that Carshalton and Wallington continues to be a desirable place to live, work and raise a family.
The Covid 19 pandemic has had enormous impacts in the UK, especially to our local high streets, and I will fight where I can to help our businesses bounce back.
