The UK is hosting the 26th global UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) from 31 October- 12 November 2021.
During this event, leaders from across the world will gather to agree strategies to tackle climate change. This includes working to secure global net zero by 2050, adapting to protect natural habitats, accelerating action to tackle the climate crisis, and much more.
As your local MP, I want to ensure that local voices are heard during this global event, so I am holding a number of COP26 events in Carshalton and Wallington.
On Wednesday 10th November at 7:30pm I will be hosting a COP26 Climate Conversation over on Facebook to hear from local panellists on key climate questions. You can share your priorities about how we tackle climate change via my COP26 survey- the answers to which I will be sharing with the COP26 President. You can also take part in my COP26 litter pick by signing up here.
As ever, if you would like to discuss this topic in more detail, please get in touch at elliot.colburn.mp@parliament.uk.
