The UK is hosting the 26th global UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) from the 31 October - 12 November 2021.
During this event, leaders from across the world will gather to agree strategies to tackle climate change.
This includes working to:
1) Secure global net zero by mid-century
2) Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats
3) Mobilise at least $100bn in climate finance per year
4) Accelerate action to tackle the climate crisis through collaboration between governments, businesses and civil society.
As your local MP, I want to ensure that local voices are heard during this global event, so I am holding numerous local COP26 events right here in Carshalton and Wallington.
