I met again today with the British Beer and Pub Association (the BBPA) to discuss the impact of the latest lockdown restrictions on this sector of the UK hospitality industry.

Following on from my conversations recently with Simon Longbottom, Chief Executive of Stonegate Pubs, I met virtually today with the General Managers of the Stonegate pubs in our local area.

Today is Small Business Saturday and, as we come out of national restrictions with the shops reopening across Sutton, it's the perfect opportunity to support our fantastic local shops, on and off the High Street.

I met this morning with the Chief Executive of the British Beer and Pub Association, Emma McClarkin, to discuss the impact of the return of the tiered system tomorrow.

Further to my meetings last week with the Chief Executive of Young's Pubs and with Jeremy Joseph, the owner of G-A-Y, I met today with the Chief Executive of Stonegate Pubs.

I met virtually this evening with Patrick Dardis, the Chief Executive of Young's, to discuss shared concerns around the impact of Tier 2 restrictions on the pub and breweries industry.

This afternoon I met virtually with the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group to discuss the importance for pubs and breweries of reopening for Christmas.

This evening I spoke in the debate in Parliament on the proposed changes to the Small Breweries Relief (SBR) that are being brought forward by the Government.

After a busy week of visits and meetings with residents and businesses across Carshalton and Wallington, it was lovely to round it off at the Duke's Head Pub in Wallington.
