Last week, I held one of my regular catch-ups with Borough Commander Dave Stringer.
We discussed a number of issues including recent burglaries, ongoing antisocial behaviour, and moped and vehicle crime (such as catalytic converter theft).
We also spoke about recent knife attacks. These have been concerning, but it's somewhat reassuring that the levels of knife crime in our area remain lower than in many other parts of London. This is something that will be continually monitored by all involved.
It was great to hear that the recent long Bank Holiday weekend went off without any major incidents. In fact, we both agreed on how great it was to see the local community - of which our police are a valued asset - come together for the occasion.
I'd like to thank Borough Commander Stringer and the wider police network for all of their help and engagement as we work to ensure our local area is a safe place to live.
