It has just been confirmed that all of London will be moved into Tier 2 Covid level restrictions, including Carshalton and Wallington, meaning the risk has moved from 'medium' to 'high'. I know this will be disappointing, especially as residents across Sutton have worked to keep the virus level down to one of the lowest in the capital.
The below attached graphic sets out some of the headline changes that this brings in. Primarily this affects social contact indoors, which is now restricted to one household/bubble, although the Rule of 6 will continue to apply outside.
You can read more detailed guidance about what these restrictions mean for you and your family here.
However, I am on hand to answer any questions or queries you might have about these restrictions, so please email me at elliot.colburn.mp@parliament.uk or call me on 020 7219 5862 if you need me.
Remember to download the NHS COVID-19 Test and Trace App and book a test if you show symptoms by visiting nhs.uk/coronavirus or call 119.
We will get through this together. Carshalton and Wallington has shown its resilience and I am confident that we will continue to do so.
