I was pleased to meet with Cats Protection today to discuss issues facing the sector.
Similarly to my meeting with Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, they are concerned that lockdown could result in a spike of abandoned pets when people return to work, so they are preparing to that eventuality.
However, we also spoke about the need to see through the Animal Cruelty Sentencing Bill, which I am supporting in Parliament, microchipping, kitten sales and much more.
I look forward to visiting their rehoming centre in Mitcham once the lockdown restrictions have been eased to allow for it.
