I know how concerned people are locally about the recent attacks on cats, and I am continuing to work with local and national partners to look into this.
Due to parliamentary business, at short notice I was unable to attend a scheduled meeting with the RSPCA to discuss the cat killings across south London, however my Office Manager Tommy Gilchrist met with Claire McParland, the RSPCA's Government Relations Manager, earlier today to discuss the matter on my behalf.
I am pleased that the RSPCA have agreed to meet with representatives from SLAIN, with whom I am also working on this, to discuss how we can move the investigation forward, and I hope to reconvene this in early 2021.
I will update residents with our next steps as soon as I am able, however please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance.
