Earlier today I had the pleasure of chairing the Improving Patient Care in Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer reception with Skin Cancer UK and Sanofi, here in Parliament.
As part of the event, I got to hear from clinicians, charities, and even tried out the skin health scanner, which demonstrated your skin's healthiness!
What is abundantly clear is that there is still a lot to be done in terms of Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer, and the numbers and figures are rightly alarming. What's more is that a unified approach is not only lacking but is also severely hampering work around NMSC.
What was so refreshing to see at the reception, however, is that there is a committed group of people across the NMSC community willing, wanting and ready to do embark on these changes - I look forward to working with them to make it even easier for them to treat those who need it.
