I was honoured to join Charity Walk for Peace, an initiative of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association, in Carshalton earlier today as they got ready to launch their Poppy Appeal fundraising campaign for this year.
Whilst there, it was a good chance to hear about their work that they do throughout the year and around the country - including right here in our own area - to build bridges between communities and fundraise for those less well-off.
Last year, they managed to raise a staggering £685,000 - and they're very keen to beat that this year. I'm sure that with their tenacity and dedication, they'll smash all of their targets, and wish them all the best as in doing so!
