I am delighted to say that after many weeks of hard campaigning along with local residents who signed my petition, local Councillors Patrick Magnus and Jonathan Pearce, and our local London Assembly Member, Neil Garratt, the 154 and 455 should both be returning to their usual route through Roundshaw today (15th December).
This has been absolute farce and gross incompetence frankly by the Council, creating a problem that didn’t exist before with the junction width, only to redesign it not once, but several times, and fail to design it so buses could get round. I will not be letting them off the hook and I have submitted a Freedom of Information request to ask how much this has cost the taxpayer for a wholly unnecessary problem.
I want to thank everyone who got in involved with the campaign, to local Councillors Patrick and Jonathan, as well as our London Assembly Member Neil for making this happen.
As I say, the buses should begin serving Roundshaw again from today and TfL has confirmed this to local councillors on site at the junction that went to watch the test today.
