On Saturday 25th November, between 1pm - 3pm, I am holding a Cost of Living Fair at Westcroft Leisure Centre, Carshalton, SM5 2TG. The aim of this fair is to give you the opportunity to speak to many different organisations on how you can access support through the Cost of Living crisis.

The rising global cost of energy and the ongoing war in Ukraine has created unprecedented price rises. This fair is aimed to directly help my constituents through this really difficult time. I want to support you. I hope the Cost of Living Fair acts as the perfect platform where you can find out what facilities are available to help you save money on food, bills, entertainment, transport and more.
At the Fair there is also going to be the opportunity for you to bring along old reusable belongings in exchange for other items which someone else has brought. The idea is to replicate a ‘bring and take’ stall so people who wish to do so, can get rid of old items, and know that they are going to be enjoyed by someone else. Guidelines on the stall can be seen below.
Allowed items – books, DVDs, CDs, children’s toys, and pictures – NO electrical items.
Items MUST – be fit for reuse, fit in your car, be from your household.
Any items which are left at the end of the Fair will be taken to one of our local charities. It would be so great to see as many people as possible get involved in this. During these difficult times, justifying the purchase of personal items such as books, become harder and harder. By having a swap stall, people can read new books, watch new films, or give their children an extra toy at Christmas, all for free. As a community, we should help each other, and this is the perfect opportunity to do so.
