I've spoken this afternoon with the Royal College of Pathologists and Macmillan Cancer Support to discuss the ongoing backlog around cancer diagnostics and treatment as we emerge from COVID restrictions.

This morning I had the opportunity to visit the new COVID vaccination site at the St Nicholas Centre in Sutton, and see how brilliantly prepared our local teams are in their fight against coronavirus.

This morning I met with Jonathan Moore and Daniella Fox from Rethink Mental Illness to discuss the importance of investing in mental health social care following the Coronavirus pandemic.

Today I met with Wallington resident Cassie Swift, who I reached out to after reading her moving article in the Sutton Guardian about her mother’s Alzheimer’s vascular dementia diagnosis.

This afternoon I met again with representatives from our incredible local pharmacies in Carshalton and Wallington following my recent contribution to the Westminster Hall debate on community pharmacies and the effect of COVID-19.

It was a pleasure to speak in the debate today on the important role playing by community pharmacies, especially as pharmacists really have been the unsung heroes of this pandemic.

During today's Urgent Question on progress to understand and tackle covid-19 disparities experienced by individuals from an ethnic minority background, I asked the Minister how we will continue to support community leaders to ensure that the message gets through to every single part of our commun

Tonight I held an online webinar on my Facebook page to discuss the rollout of the vaccine in Sutton, and in particular, to urge those from the BAME community to come forward and get their vaccine when they are called.
