This afternoon I met with residents on Windborough Road to discuss the issues with traffic, overgrown trees and speeding.
Nick reached out to me recently to highlight the ongoing issues with parking on his road and the need for double yellow lines to be painted to reduce the risk of crashes. As well as this, residents are keen to see a 20mph speed limit implemented to reduce the speed of cars during school drop-offs and pick-ups. I agreed with Nick and his neighbours that more needs to be done to ensure this sort of behaviour is deterred.
I was also disappointed to see a number of issues with the trees on Windborough Road, including an overgrown tree causing damage to the tarmac and a memorial tree which has been removed by the Council without explanation.
I have written to the Council to highlight all of these issues and will be updating residents as soon as I hear back.
Thank you again to Nick and Christopher for sharing their concerns with me.
