It was a pleasure to take part in the UK's first virtual Climate Lobby today by speaking (virtually) with Carshalton and Wallington residents about how we can tackle climate change both locally and nationally.
We spoke about the need to tackle air pollution, cut down on the amount of waste we produce as a country, increase rates of re-using and recycling waste, invest in green technologies and much more.
I was really pleased to hear people's views and ideas about the actions we could be taking to reduce carbon emissions and tackle the climate emergency.
I will be taking these discussions away to discuss with Ministers, as well as continuing to press the Council on things they can be doing to improve our local environment.
In addition, I hope to host more of these events in future to keep track of progress.
