I was honoured to join doctors, patients and supporters of St Helier Hospital's neonatal unit tonight for their annual Valentine's Ball.
The Ball helps to raise money for the unit, which has been such an important part of many parent and children's lives in providing 24-hour care for premature and sick babies.
They raised thousands for the unit at St Helier and I was humbled to be able to speak to people there about the excellent care the unit provides.
We also had the chance to speak about the £500 million investment into Epsom and St Helier Hospitals. The doctors and patients told me how excited they were to see this essential funding going into the hospital, which would help drastically improve the care and support they provide to these babies.
