Raising the Issue of Pension Credit in Parliament

  • Speeches in Parliament

This week I got the chance to raise the issue of the many pensioners in our area who are unaware of their eligibility for Pension Credit.

As I outlined in my question, it is clear that much of this issue surrounds better awareness for those eligible as to what assistance is available to them. You can listen to my question and the Minister's answer in the video above.

What's more, I look forward to welcoming Guy Opperman MP to my next Older Persons' Fair, so he can see some of the great work done by our local organisations to ensure uptake of all relevant benefits, including Pension Credit.

I am always happy to help if you or someone you know is finding it difficult to access the assistance they're entitled to, so please get in touch with me and my team.
