Labour votes to remove Winter Fuel payments for pensioners

Radiator

The Labour Government is cutting Winter Fuel Payments for roughly 12,500 pensioners in Carshalton and Wallington.

That cut will cost pensioners up to £300 a year. It will impact pensioners earning as little as £13,000 a year.

Labour is doing this just as they spend billions on an energy company which won’t produce any energy.

And billions more on pay hikes for their allies in the trade union movement.

Labour didn't want our MPs to debate this. But we forced a debate in Parliament and, shamefully, they voted to scrap it.

I’ve signed this petition which urges Labour to keep the Winter Fuel Allowance. If you agree with me then please sign it here and share it with a friend or family member.

Working together I know we can force Labour to rethink this cruel policy and honour commitments we’ve made to our nation’s elderly

If you are on pension credit you are still eligible for Winter Fuel Payments. Find out if you’re still eligible for help at www.gov.uk/pension-credit/how-to-claim.
