It was a pleasure to make my maiden speech in the House of Commons today during a debate about health and social care.
As is tradition, I used the opportunity to thank my predecessor for his service to Carshalton and Wallington, as well as give a little history lesson about the area I am proud to serve.
I spoke about Carshalton and Wallington's links as far back as Roman and Tudor times, and how the exciting plans for St Helier Hospital will secure our local health services for decades to come.
You can watch my speech above.
