Restore half-hourly train services to London Bridge

Southern Railway has recently removed some peak morning services from their timetable, impacting customers travelling from Carshalton Beeches/Wallington to London Bridge.

Since the changes came into effect earlier in the month, there has been a gap in services between 5.59/6.01am and 7.29/7.32am.

The hugely popular 7.59/8.02am service has also been removed, which many people rely on to commute into central London for work.

This essentially means that there are just two train services to London bridge over a three hour period.

Anyone who has started commuting to work again via railway will know how busy the trains are becoming. And many of us will remember the severe congestion on the London Bridge trains from before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Govia Thameslink Railway implemented the new timetable changes in response to the pandemic. However, due to the rising demand for train services from Carshalton Beeches/Wallington, it is clear that local residents need more London Bridge services to get back to the office.

If this is an issue that you are concerned about, please sign my petition below.
