Hackbridge Platform Gap Petition

Residents in Hackbridge often get in touch to raise concerns about the gap between the train carriages and the southbound platform at Hackbridge Station.

After raising this issue in Parliament, lobbying the Department for Transport and bringing Govia Thameslink Railway to Hackbridge to see the problem for themselves, I am now launching a petition to gain local support to push Network Rail to address this issue.

Every year, Network Rail select stations across the country to conduct improvement works to address gaps between carriages and platforms.

We need to demonstrate the extent of this issue, so if you are concerned by the gap between the train carriages and the southbound platform (near to the exit), please sign my petition below.

I call on Network Rail to prioritise improvement works to reduce the gap between train carriages and the southbound platform at Hackbridge railway station (towards the exit-end of the platform).

I urge the Department for Transport to work with Network Rail to ensure that the necessary funding is secured for these improvements works to be conducted.
