DISCLAIMER: If you have a question, concern or need help with anything related to the Coronavirus, then please do email me at elliot.colburn.mp@parliament.uk or call 020 7219 5862 - my team and I are working flat out to make sure everyone gets access to the help and advice they need.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways.

The government has published an action plan on how the UK will deal with the Coronavirus. The UK's response is being guided by the scientific and medical advice from our Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Medical Officer.

You can get the most up to date advice and information about Coronavirus by visiting the dedicated government website here, and for the most up to date medical information, please see the NHS website here.

This part of my website is designed to give information for Carshalton and Wallington residents about some of the most common questions I have been asked since the Coronavirus outbreak.

Here you can get advice about a number of frequently asked questions by clicking the links on the left hand side of the screen. These include things like:

  • Support for the self employed
  • Support for local businesses
  • Support for local charities
  • Myself or a relative are stuck overseas
  • Supermarket and food delivery
  • What you can do to reduce your bills
  • Help with volunteering locally
  • The most up to date health advice
  • Paying your mortgage or rent
  • Looking after your mental health
  • Guide to social distancing
  • Guidance on education and exams
  • Useful numbers and contacts
  • Other Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What am I doing as your Member of Parliament?

My team and I have been responding to the literally hundreds of emails and phone calls that I have been receiving about this issue. I can help point you in the direction of the help you are entitled to, offer advice or try to find out the answers to the questions you need answered from the correct avenue.

I post very regular updates to my social media pages. You can follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

I am also going to be helping in the volunteer efforts to get food and medicine to elderly and vulnerable residents. If you also want to get involved with voluntary efforts, then please check the volunteering section of my website by clicking the link on the left hand side of the page.

Finally, I will also be arranging for an information leaflet to be delivered to every home with some key information about the Coronavirus, but a PDF copy of this leaflet can be found below.

Parliament is now in recess. This would have taken place now anyway, but it is being extended by one week. We are due to sit again towards the end of April. Regardless of whether Parliament is sitting, I am here to argue for the Carshalton and Wallington's case with Government. I will continue to do this.

REMEMBER: If you have a question, concern or need help with anything related to the Coronavirus, then please do email me at elliot.colburn.mp@parliament.uk or call 020 7219 5862 - my team and I are working flat out to make sure everyone gets access to the help and advice they need.
