It was a pleasure to meet so many Collyer Avenue residents recently to discuss the issues many people have been experiencing with trees and the state of the road.
I am not sure if it was a coincidence, but as many people would have seen, there were indeed contractors on site whilst our meeting was taking place, but I appreciate that they did not tackle much of what was concerning residents about the trees.
I was sorry to hear about the issues many people have been experiencing, including damage to properties, falling debris, and the general state of the road.
I will use this information to approach Sutton Council and ask for a site visit with tree officers to discuss these issues and look for a solution.
In the meantime, I know a number of people raised other concerns with me, especially the road being used as a rat run and burglaries. I am sorry to hear that so many people have been targeted. I will also be having conversations with the Council and the Police about these issues.
